THREE WAYS TO SHOW YOUR DEVOTION TO JESUS:

1. Honor Jesus in your house.
2. Honor Jesus from your heart.
3. Honor Jesus when the opportunity is at hand.

FOUR PRACTICAL SUGGESTIONS:

1. Make Him the unseen guest at all times.
2. Make a practice of meditating on Him and His Word.
3. Make a practice of telling others about Him.
4. Ask God for opportunities to show your devotion.

SOME THINGS ARE HARD TO SEE!

• “It’s a seed”- but not just a seed. Matthew 13:31-32

• “It’s the stone the builders rejects”- but it became the cornerstone. Matthew 21:42

• “It’s the old testament tabernacle” – but it’s a copy and shadow of what’s in heaven. Hebrews 8:5

THREE THINGS FEW PEOPLE UNDERSTAND:

1. How holy God is. Isaiah 6:1-5, Revelation 1:17

2. How bad our sin is. Romans 5:12

3. How amazing God’s grace is. Romans 5:8

• The question we usually have is “What’s in it for me?”

• They wanted instant gratification.

• Jesus knew what they needed.

• Just as our body without food is dead, our spirit without Jesus is dead.

AN AWFUL RESPONSE: John 6:60-71

• Bread can’t just be read about, talked about, or thought about; it must be consumed.

• Jesus’ teaching wasn’t hard to understand, it was hard to accept.
