FAMILY

Welcome to the family!

                 Romans 12:1-8, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

We are all made incredibly different from each other.

We all are made for incredibly different purposes.

Many differences tend to attack, not attract.

Why I have to love you, and you have to love me

1 John 2:9-11, 3:16-18, 4:7-12, 19-21, 5:1-5, Matthew 5:23-24, Romans 12:17-21

It’s not about them; it’s about dad.

Not loving them is hurting us… it’s our body.

Our two choices are to either love those at the table, or leave the table.

How in the world can I love someone like you, an dhow can you love someone like me?

 I have to remember:

How I got my seat at the table.

We are all in a process of becoming like dad, but none of us have arrived.

I can’t love dad when I’m angry at His kids.

– Not everyone is a child of God.

– Becoming a child of God is an adoption by faith.

WHERE TWO FRONTS COLLIDE

Psalm 139

– The truth about how I see myself.

– The truth about how God sees me.

UNDESERVED LOVE

UNDESERVED LOVE

Have we lost the WONDER of His love?

The Solution: Three things to consider:

  1. God—the source of love.

           John 1:1-3           Genesis 1:1-3

  1. Us—the object of His love.

           Romans 7:15, 18-19           Psalm 17:7-8          Psalm 22:6

  1. The cross—the act of His love.

           Matthew 27:26-54           John 15:3
